Growing up, I consistently struggled with my weight and my sister and I were regular members at Weight Watchers <and Pizza Hut> and YMCA.
In 1994 I found the confidence to train and run my first of 15 marathons with Boston being my favorite. During this time, I was a member of a quad rowing team in Deep Cove, BC and volunteered as a strength trainer.
I developed a disease in my back and eventually had major surgery in 2005. It was at that time that I realized how important weight training was/is. I was never a big fan of working out indoors but I had never been in such great shape! I believe, especially as we age, that you need to weight train to keep your bones strong so nothing will stop you from doing what you love! I went on to achieve my Personal Training Certification in 2011 and have never looked back!
In the last 8 years (since 2017), I have broken my arm, 2 bones in my foot and most recently, had a full hip replacement! During that time, I have always found a way to work out and I do that for my clients as well! I know what it feels like to be injured or convalescing, and even just a small workout helps you feel that all will not be lost.
I love revealing the amazing benefits of fitness and will tailor the most effective, fun, safe program for my clients in a comfortable space so you can get outside and do what you love!. There is nothing like watching the positive inner and outer transformations of people!

I was fortunate to be able to train with Connie. I have a condition known as scoliosis and it requires me to maintain a strong core and perform any exercises correctly. Connie took the time to research "scoliosis" and came up with a routine that was safe for me to do and made me stronger and fitter. Over time she modified it and made it more challenging, while instructing me in proper technique and continuing to safeguard my spine.
Since her move I worked out on my own but felt my fitness level falling and had increasing pain in my back. I started looking on line for trainers or facilities who work with scoliosis. They are few and far between. Then I heard one such trainer being interviewed on the radio, and she made sense to me. I now go from Coquitlam to North Vancouver to train with her. It is
this specialized training that has made me appreciate just how good Connie is at what she does. The workouts she did with me were spot on, emphasizing core and strength. My back felt stable and I had much less pain.
